WHAT?

Has the world gone crazy, or just my husband! today Michael suggested (of his own free will) that it might be a good idea to got to IKEA....................
So off we went to IKEA in Coventry. It was quite a memory trip going into Coventry, as I had worked there for a number of years and we quite easily found the IKEA, which was not far from where I used to work.
We managed to get a plastic floor cover, which is what Michael wanted  and we decidec to order a Billy bookcase with doors for me to stow away all my sewing machines and STUFF. We had to order on internet when we got home and it will be delivered.

Indoor Picnic

Amber, Phoebe and Joshua came for lunch today as Matt & Zoe are meeting with Richard. Amber and Phoebe walked to Tesco with me to get some treats for the afternoon as we plan on watching a film or possibly two.
It was a lovely time together and they chatted away.
When we got back Amber went on the piano for a bit and swift as anything Joshua was at the laptop and had it switched and clicking away at the mouse.....and he is only 2!!!!!!
We had an indoor picnic lunch before Gnomeo and Juliet (again....) during which Joshua fell asleep.
We also watched Mirror Mirror which was also very good if a bit scary.

Harry Potter Studios

As it is half term we met up with Emma & Richard to go to the Harry Potter studios at Warner Bros in Watford. We had a scheduled time of 11.00am but we were able to go in a little earlier.
As we walked along the queing line both Ruby & Daniel bent under the ropes but Bethany insisted on walking all the way around..so funny.
We went into the film theatre area and watched the introduction film which was really good before entering the big doors and seeing the amazing great hall.

 

The sets were amazing and brought the films to life I was amazed at the details that went into all the items needed, such as the 17,000 wand boxes with hand written labels on.. really enjoyed Diagon Alley quite wonderous. The children enjoyed this the best and the night bust and not forgetting the butterbeer.

 

Quite an amazing day and we managed to spend 6 hours in the studios...far too much to take in will have to go again.!

And becuase I can.....

 



One Night In Vienna

Busy but productive day, family history then baking cheese scones, lemo drizzle cake and a quiche for lunch...
Tonight we enjoyed out Christmas Present from Matt & Zoe. We had tickets to see One Night In Vienna. The music was provided by the Johann Strauss Orchestra, there were also a dance troupe and a female soloist.
The conductor was Rayner Hirsch and it was a fantastic night of music and dance.The conductor provided a running commentary through the evening which was very funny. Many thanks for the tickets.

Genevieves Blessing

Considering there were so many of us it was an orderly start to the day, with all the bathrooms we were all ready dressed and breakfasted before 9.15am absolutely amazing.
Genevieve had on her blessing gown and looked beautiful.
The chapel was very full as three babies were being blessed today.Richard gave Genevieve a beautiful blessing and she behaved well.
Lunch was back at Emma's and included the Marinelli's, Grovers (Jackson was also blessed today) Stefan & Charlotte. The house was full of people and children...

After we cleared up and Matt & Zoe left Ruby pleaded with us to stay another night and well because we can we did.



Tea Party

We headed down to Emma & Richards to spend the weekend today there was going to be a family tea party for Bethany who will be 3 on Tuesday.
First task when we arrived was for Michael to take Ruby & Daniel to the shop for promised treats....
Went shopping with Emma for items for a baptism at Huntingdon Ward and then we went to the baptism. By the time we got back Matt & Zoe and family arrived and a pleasent chaos was in progress..
