A Day full of fibs....

We had a good day today and after our usual slow start Emma and I went out for the afternoon and did some window shopping and actual shopping for me. Most unusal I know.
We met up with Richard and Michael who brought the children along and we went to see the film The Croods. It was such a funny film and Daniel and Ruby were rocking in their seats, although Beth wasnt quite so sure....
After the film I took Emma into Cambridge and we went to Browns for dinner. unknown to Emma some oher close friends were waiting and she was really suprised to see them....
At last I could stop telling fibs about why we were in Cambridge.
A lovely evening was had by all and Emma enjoyed it and Genevieve was the star of the restaurant..

Emma's Birthday

We awoke to Emma 's birthday and she had a migraine....not so good so we had a gentle start to the day and entertained the children so she could have a sleep. After lunch feeling slightly better we went ice skating...... well I looked after Genevieve. Daniel after a slow start got the hang of it and Ruby the dangerous one was off at a rate of knots.
When Ruby came off the ice she could not have been any wetter if she had been in a bath but all had a great time including the old ones.

Swimming & The Park

Today having new swim wear we went to the swimming pool and had a good splash about before having lunch and a visit to the park.

Then it was back home to play Scrabble. The cheeky pair only beat me!!!

 







Cousins Together

We had Joshua come over for the morning and lunch and Daniel and Ruby enjoyed him being here. We decied that baking was a good move and so all hands on deck

Family Breakfast/Conference Weekend

it is General Conference weekend and Richard wanted us to do something together and so we all got up early for breakfast at the Premier Inn iat Hinckley Marina. Well we nearly managed to get there on time....
We had a long table for us all and the children were delighted as there was a play area for them so after eating we could sit back and relax. It was a lovely morning and following breakfast we headed back towards Leicester.
Daniel and Ruby decided to stay for a few days and we agreed to take them home on Wednesday in time for Emma's birthday.

Rachel's

Went to visit Rachel & Ric for a few days. Rachel needs to have an injection in her hand and has been told to rest if for three days, so I'm going up to be with her until Friday. Rachel had her injection on the Wednesday
We had a meals out on Tuesday & Wednesday evening and then on Thursday I cooked Shepherds Pie and we made muffins.
During Thursday Rachel and I went to the Preston Temple grounds and had a walk around and we also went to the Botany Bay warehouse.
We enjoyed some wonderful pancakes with icecream and fruit very delicious......

 

 

 

 

Had a lovely few days but as Ric was not working on Friday I came home.

Easter Monday

So what shall we do today....I know lets go for a walk to Old John at Bradgate. The second barage of snow we have had has now cleared.......
So.....it was COLD COLD COLD the wind was blowing incredibly and there was still snow on the ground. We were blasted to the top of Old John and blown back down......
