Pickering to Whitby

An early start to Pickering today to go on the North York Moors Railway to Whitby.
The sky is overcast today but there was no rain.
The trains was pulled by a diesel and we went to Grosmont. I like this station it is so quaint.

We went onto Whitby still pulled by the diesel as the Steam Train had failed one of its tests. But we came back on the steam train, such a different feel. The clickety clack that I remember from childhood.

We had a good fish and chip lunch(of course) and this was the view from  Harry's Restaurant.

OOOOh my very own sweetie shop now what shall I have.....

The Eric Treacy engine that pulled us back to Pickering

It was a really good day if a little long......
